As a student, I am often asked by potential students and parents of potential students if faculty and staff really do care about the students here at Muskingum. I always say yes, and now I have a personal example to prove it.
Last week, I was diagnosed with the Type A Flu. I was not well enough to go to classes and eventually went home. While I was away, I received many emails from not only the professors who teach my classes, but from other faculty and staff who had heard of my illness and wanted to make sure I was okay.
When I returned to campus this week, I was surpised by how many people, both students and faculty, came up to me to make sure I was feeling better. It was a really nice feeling to know I was missed. Furthermore, my professors made sure I had plenty of time to complete the missed work so that I would not get too far behind.
So if you’re wondering if you would actually be important to professors here at Muskingum, the answer is most certainly yes.
