New Year, New Semester

As the new year enters with a strong, sift move, so does the Spring semester – well, at least for me. At the beginning of every new semester, every student goes through the typical college stress of book buying. There are so many different ways to find and scrape up books for the courses you are about to endure, such as borrowing, purchasing online, purchasing at the bookstore, etc.

But with all of this money management and book searching, one is bound to get a bad headache and a short temper along with it. How can one relax in this state? One could read a book – of your choice, that you’d actually want to read during your spare time. One could take a relaxing walk around our beautiful campus, hang out with a good Muskie buddy, or Muskie girlfriend/boyfriend to help forget about things. One could take a relaxing shower, take a power nap, exercise at the Chess Center, go on a random drive to somewhere, like Cambridge or Zanesville (our two closest locations for fun activites, like the movies or going shopping), listen to music, play video games with a few Muskies from your floor…

So, while you are gearing up, preparing yourself mentally for college next fall, just remember that, although it will be a stressful ride, just as any schooling is, there are many ways to get away from it all here in MuskieLand.
