Summertime in MuskieLand

Another academic year has come and gone – quicker than the blink of an eye, it seems. And yet, I’m still here on this now nearly deserted campus, walking around the Quad. As I spend my last summer before graduation at Muskingum, working to earn and save money for life after college, I will be enjoying the beauty of Muskingum that is unknown to most – and blogging about it here so I can show you a first-hand experience of what the Muskingum campus is like in the quiet summer.

Muskingum during the summer is much different. It is quiet, it is peaceful. It is gentle. It is in healing for the next academic year. The wind blowing through the various trees is a sort of song, filled with past Muskie memories. It is in constant change, in sorrow for those who have left it by graduations past, yet always jubilant for those who will be arriving as new in the fall.

I will continue throughout the summer to post pictures and stories of my second Muskingum summer, to show you the unknown side to Muskingum- and possibly intrigue some of you into experiencing Muskingum this way, first-hand, yourselves.
