The Gifts of Being a Muskie

I’ve found myself being very reminiscent lately since graduation is quickly approaching. Instead of writing a Muskie Mumble this week, I thought I would show you some of the things my Muskingum experience has given me and I’m sure other Muskies have their own lists of things they are grateful for receiving.

1. An education that has widened my view of the world, its people, and opportunities that lie before us.

2. Wonderful friends and memories.

-Like a best friend who asks you to marry them.

3. A priceless internship experience and network of professionals.

-Like being able to visit the Speaker of the House’s private balcony with other Muskies during spring break because of the people I was given the opportunity to meet through my internship)

4. A love of bread pudding (with vanilla ice cream).

5. A love of the simple things, like board game nights and ice cream trips with friends.

6. The ability to help other students as their resident assistant.

7. An ability to be heard and give your opinion at Student Senate meetings.

8. Fantastic coffee, late night snacks, and wonderful socializing at the Kelley Coffeehouse – my favorite part of the week.

9. Very helpful, sincere, and knowledgeable faculty.

10. Finals breakfast

..and so, so many more.
