Activities Fair

Good Morning!

As I briefly mentioned last Tuesday, the campus hosts an event on the quad during common hour (that way everyone is guaranteed to be out of class), where student groups on campus have the opportunity to set up a table and talk to students who are interested in becoming involved and active on campus.

The groups always have a really good time putting this on and really enjoy talking to students who are interested in joining their club, and there are always free giveaways, food and other fun stuff passed out.

The clubs that you will see at an event like this range everywhere from Greek Life sororities and fraternities, to Equality Alliance, French and Spanish (and other multicultural and language clubs), along with many honoraries that are specific to a certain subject/major.  And finally, it is always a great place to learn about options for traveling abroad either over spring break, for two to three weeks or even for a semester!

There is an abundance of information that these clubs have to offer and everyone is always really excited, polite and helpful.

Easily the coolest part about this years activities fair was the flash mob that occurred towards the end of it to PINKs “Raise Your Glass”, you can barely see them up in the top bleachers from my picture, but you can also see just how many students come to and enjoy activities fair.

All in all, activities fair is always a really good time, and a great opportunity for all students, especially first years to become involved on campus.

Until next time bloggers,

Katie
