I can not believe it is that time of year already. I scheduled for classes last week for next semester, which means that spring semester is just around the corner. I thought I’d share a little bit about how scheduling works at Muskingum and a little bit about classes.

Muskingum University is a liberal arts school, which means you are required to take a variety of courses in a variety of areas, this includes everything from science to physical education to religion. Within each liberal arts essential there are a bunch of different classes that you can pick from. I will only have one more LAE after next semester to take, which is crazy, but that means all of classes are focused specifically on my major and minor courses.

The way scheduling works depends on your class standing by credits, so seniors, then juniors, sophomores, and finally freshmen. You schedule on the computer at a certain time and date that is emailed to you by the registrars office. You must also meet with your advisor as well to discuss what your taking and for them to approve your registration of your classes. Then after you deliver that paper to the registrars office you are good to schedule. It can be a stressful process, but with the help of your advisor and other staff members it all works out in the end.

I hope you have a great weekend!
