Gratitude

I’m writing this on the brink of yet another class break; starting next Wednesday is our Thanksgiving break, and it couldn’t have been timed better if it tried.

We are blessed during the first semester with perfectly spaced out breaks and “holidays”.
I include in my list of “holidays”: both Halloween and Homecoming; because they are two of students’ favorite weekends.

After we return for classes a week from Monday it will be 110% until finals, and for that I am grateful.

While I enjoy this semester, my activities and my classes, I am ready for my final semester on campus.
(I was reminded this past Saturday that it was exactly six months until graduation: cue heavier case of senioritis and full panic mode of: i.dont.wanna.grow.up;do.i.have.to?)

My parents told me I have to.
(I’m sure they are rolling their eyes and laughing at reading this)
Ps: hi mom and dad!

But until the real world, I’m going to enjoy the rest of this week, which is followed up on Saturday by one of my favorite events of the year, graffiti!
(we run around in black lights and write on sheets with highlighters. What could be more fun than that?)

By the time I blog again, Thanksgiving will be over, we will all be stuffed with wonderful food, and wishing the time with our friends, families and loved ones wasn’t over.

Enjoy Thanksgiving and soak up every minute that you can.

Be reminded of what and who you’re thankful for, and tell them, besides, they deserve to know. 🙂

Until next time,
Katie Day
