Study Abroad

One of the many amazing opportunities Muskingum has to offer is an incredible study abroad program.

At Muskingum, you can study abroad for a semester or more, for a week of spring break, or even during our “May Term”.

Study abroad trips give students the chance of a lifetime, and I have been fortunate enough to be able to utilize this to the best of my ability.

My first trip was a little different than study abroad, it was instead, a two week Civil War trip with two of the history professors, and we left the Monday after school was out for summer. It was easily two of the most interesting weeks of my life, and I absolutely loved it. Eight of us traveled in a van and made over twenty five Civil War stops, all the while earning credit for two classes.

My second trip will be this coming spring break, and myself and about 20-some other students will be visiting Italy, France and Spain.

I can honestly say that I am extremely excited, and nervous too, for the trip, but I know it will be something I may never have the opportunity to do again. It also helps that a large group of my friends are going, so I am sure that we will have the time of our lives.

So what am I trying to say?
Go out, travel to places you never thought you would, and experience in these four short years.

Come next semester, I’ll be able to update on my journey to Europe, and will be sure to post wonderful pictures too.

But until then, we have this week, next week and then finals, and then Christmas break.

Talk to you next Wednesday,
Katie Day
