NYC Red-Eye Trip

Hey everyone!

This weekend was an exhausting one! My roommates and I went on a red-eye trip to New York! It was such a great experience. We left Muskingum at 9 p.m. on Friday and returned at 4 a.m. on Sunday. We made it to New York a little after 6 a.m., just in time for the Today show! My roommate Lindsay made a sign and we were on television!

We did all sorts of amazing things. We saw Times Square, the 9/11 Memorial, Central Park, and even rode the Subway! And that’s only part of it. It’d take me hours to explain everything we did (literally, I was on the phone with my mom for over an hour!), so I’ll just post some pictures for you to enjoy!

All in all I had a really great time and it was an amazing opportunity. It was really amazing because it was offered through Centerboard, which is our activities organization, so it only cost $30/person for the trip itself. It was a real deal!

I hope you enjoy the photos, I know I sure enjoyed taking them.
Have a great day!
Kelsey

There was a woman posing as the Statue of Liberty in Central Park. We got our pictures taken with her.

This is the Survivor Tree at the 9/11 Memorial. It was a tree that they had found damaged at the original World Trade Center site. They nursed it back to health and it now stands in the memorial.
