Teaching Abroad

Today I had a meeting with my Sociology advisor to go over and talk about my senior seminar. While I was talking to her we got onto the topic of what I would like to do when I graduate. My over all goal when I graduate is to become a professor and teach, but I would like to get some work experience in first before I go ahead and go to grad school. My advisor told me of this awesome opportunity that I could take when I graduate where  I can go to countries like Korea and China and teach for a year. She thought that this would be a great opportunity for me not only because I am going to be teaching, but also because I can go over there and actually see what the cultures in those other countries are like. I enjoy going to different countries! Last summer Muskingum had a study abroad trip to London, Scotland, and Ireland which I went on.  We flew into London and spent three days there. Then we went to Scotland for a week, and then Ireland for a week. I really learned a lot about the cultures there even though the trip was offered through an English class!!! Needless to say I am really thinking about doing some teaching abroad once I graduate.
