District Day & More

Hey everyone!
This week has been fun and rewarding, spending time with all of ASA’s new members (including Devin, if any of you have read her posts–we’re very happy to have her!), and the weekend is a unique opportunity in itself.
As members of Alpha Sigma Alpha, we’re given the opportunity to attend what is called District Day. It is a chance for us to go and meet members from all different chapters and participate in workshops that help to make us better members in the sorority and better people in general.
This will be my second year attending district day, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s an incredible opportunity to connect with other sisters and to learn valuable skills.
It is, undoubtedly, one of the biggest perks of being involved with a national sorority.
I’m very excited to spend the day with sisters, and to welcome a few of my newest sisters along to experience the day for their first time.

As if that isn’t exciting enough, next weekend we’ll be giving time to one of our national philanthropies–Girls on the Run. We’ve made flowers and signs and cards for the girls running, and we’re going to go and cheer them on.
I really don’t think there is anything more rewarding than being able to help them accomplish something great and see that smile on their faces when we’re there cheering for them. It’s an amazing opportunity.
Below are some photos from Girls on the Run last year:

I hope that this year’s experience is just as rewarding and fun as last year’s. I’m sure it will be!!

Have a great week,
Kelsey
