Last week home

This entire winter break has gone by pretty quickly. I didn’t think that it would go by so soon. Right now, the whole midwest is pretty much blanketed in snow storms and whatnot, and I’m at home in scenic Phoenix, Arizona, where the weather has stayed solid at around the 70’s. I know for a total fact that I’m going to miss this really nice weather and head for what people have been telling me is the rough half of winter. Even though I’m a little tentative to head to the cold, I’m glad that I’ll be spending it at Muskingum at least. The holidays here with my family and friends has been nice, but I think going back to my studies is what I need.

It’ll be odd, getting readjusted to the whole two hour time difference, thanks in part to Arizona not following Daylight Savings, for whatever reason. I’m also, again, not looking forward to the cold at all. Coldest I’ve so far experienced is +7 on campus. I don’t know how I’ll fare against the negatives. I did get some cool winter gear for my birthday at least, so I’ll be better prepared, for the most part. All I hope for is that nothing interrupts my studies like blizzards or whatever. I don’t really know much about what I’m going into, but I don’t think it’s as bad as I keep hearing.

I guess there’s only one way to find out.
