Liberty Answers #1

I’ve decided to do a new segment on the blog called “Liberty Answers” to truly help you as potential students get your questions answered. I’m going to be answering the frequently asked questions of college! Keep in mind, I am only a freshman and just made college decisions last year so I am pretty close to your age! Making a decision on a college is a big deal and I want to help you decide if Muskingum is the right college for you.

FAQ #1: Why did you choose Muskingum over other schools that accepted you?

I have three main reasons.

1.) The admissions process was fun and easy! It was very easy to apply and the admissions staff were great to work with, which didn’t always happen at other schools. The campus tours were fun and staff made sure to accommodate us and answer all of our questions. I liked this because I want to be in an environment where I will be able to get help and guidance if I need it and staff is always willing to help you!

2.) Student Life. I really liked the student life at Muskingum. I liked how much stuff they had going on all the time and all of the opportunities to meet new friends and better yourself. There are always fun and positive activities to get you away from the stress of college life.

3.) Money. I know this is an issue for a lot of people but I’ll be honest. Muskingum is so good about giving scholarships to those who need and deserve it. If you work hard in school and try your hardest, you will likely be able to get a decent scholarship. This made me so happy because I’m not a genius, I’m not a sports star, I’m not a music or art prodigy, I’m just an average girl and to be able to pay for a lot of my college with scholarships is a great feeling. Other colleges didn’t seem to care about helping me financially and wanting me to be there rather than just wanting my money.

So there you have it! Check back next Thursday for a new FAQ! Have a great week, and whatever you decide to do, I know you’ll rock at it!
