Confessions of a Veteran Girl Scout

Hola, Muskies! Hope everyone had a nice, relaxing Spring Break & is adjusting back to school life.

Over my nine day break from college, I spent part of it making a little extra money doing a job that reconnected me to part of my childhood: separating & distributing numerous cases of Girl Scout cookies. Many people don’t know this about me, but I was a Girl Scout for nine years & I really enjoyed my time! Suddenly, I was reminded about the sweet nostalgic memories of selling cookies, arts & crafts and building friendships with girls from all backgrounds, including my current best friend <3.  Even though at the end of both days I developed some VERY sore arms, my little mental trip down memory was nice & reminded me how fast time actually goes! Just think: in about two months’ time, I’ll be walking across the stage receiving my bachelor’s degree in nursing and closing the chapter that the last four years of my life has made up, I’ll be 22 exactly one week from today [happy early birthday to me :)] and I’ll have more time to explore, discover and hopefully sleep in (nursing major problems lol) like I never could. So, as you all get ready to finish out this semester & enjoy your summer,  remember  two things: enjoy the moment that you’re in right now and that sometimes you may get a knock from your past to remind you just how far you’ve come. Have a great week!
