Sixteen Candles

Good morning!!

Some may be wondering: “Why the heck is this ancient song that 97% of college students have never heard of included in this post?”

Well, besides showing how I have music taste of a 65 year old at times, this past weekend, the sisters of Alpha Sigma Alpha -Zeta Omicron chapter celebrated 16 years of being on Muskingum’s campus. Take a moment and reflect on the typical stereotype of what happens on a person’s 16th birthday; typically, people usually think of two things–having a huge party and getting their license to drive. As each active member took some time to kind of reflect about where our chapter has started, where we are now and where we would like to go in the future, I believe that each of  us want to not only develop as driven women of poise and purpose, but to also recruit other independent women with that same kind of drive and determination to within themselves and with their new sisters. Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!
