The Struggle With Finals

Hey Everyone!

This will most likely be my last blog post of the semester–how sad! I hope all of you have enjoyed everything that I have shared with you, and have put my advice into some type of use! It is hard to believe that classes end on Wednesday and finals will begin next week. With that being said, finals can sure be a struggle!

It is very important to use your time wisely and manage your studying so that you have the best chance for success when finals week finally rolls around. It is very easy to become distracted during finals week (or even the week before) when you have a lot more free time on your hands. For example, my roommate and I just spent the last hour looking up outfits for our Vegas trip we are taking this summer for her birthday. This is what you should NOT do when you are preparing for finals week! 🙂 The struggle to focus all day when studying can be very hard, but if breaks are taken appropriately it can be a very productive and successful week. When your time in college comes, you will find what works best for you…don’t worry!

On the flipside of all of this I have very exciting news to share. We (Muskingum Softball) finished our conference play this past Saturday and we have won a share of the regular season conference title! This hasn’t been done at Muskingum since 2009 and we are the first team in four years here at Muskingum to bring the conference title back home. What an amazing feeling this has been! We are headed into post-season play for the OAC Championship this weekend, so root for us as we hopefully bring home the trophy!

In case I don’t post next week, I hope everyone has a great rest of the school year and finishes up strong! If you have any questions about Muskingum or what to expect at college in general feel free to shoot me an email anytime over the summer: agilbert@muskingum.edu.

I hope you all have enjoyed my posts…oh yeah, and GO MUSKIES!

Here is a picture from our game against Baldwin Wallace Saturday. Not only did we win our first game to make us conference champions, but it was our annual strikeout breast cancer game! Such a great day to be a Muskie!
