Rush Week

October 26th begins Greek Rush Week. I’m so excited to be a part of this event. As a commuter it can be somewhat difficult to get involved like students who live on campus. You’re not there all the time, and usually most commuters schedule earlier classes, so you often miss the evening events. However, joining a sorority or fraternity, I think is a great way to get involved. They do a lot of really great things within the Muskingum community as well as throughout New Concord. It’s a great chance to get involved within Muskingum. Also if you’re having trouble making friends in your classes or just in general, joining Greek Life is also a great way to make new friends and even strengthen the bonds with friends you have already met. I’ve always wanted to join at sorority and at my last university it just wasn’t possible because it cost way to much money. But here at Muskingum University they make it much more affordable to join and even have payment plans as well as scholarships so that everyone who wants to join Greek Life has that opportunity to do so. I’m really looking forward to this coming week and meeting all kinds of new people. And hopefully finding that perfect sisterhood in which I belong.
