Greek Week!

It’s that magical time of year again: Greek Week! This is a magical time of year where all Greeks get together to participate in really fun events that is designed to unify the Greek community. Remember Field Day in like elementary and middle school? It’s kind of like that. You participate in various events with your respective Greek organization and it’s just a way to have fun and cheer on your fellow Greeks. I would say that as a Greek community, we’re pretty close to one another in that we’re very supportive of other groups. We began the week with what’s called Greek Sing which is where each Greek organization picks an artist, comes up with a routine, and lip sync to the medley of songs.

This is the only event I’ve been able to attend so far this week due to massive amounts of homework, but I really enjoyed it because it’s really something to hear an entire room full of people from different organizations cheer each other on. The events that have happened so far have been Greek Sing, Trivia, Greek Unity Balloon Toss, and Tug of War all of which have gone splendidly.

The events for the rest of the week are:
Wednesday: Dodgeball in the Rec Center at 7pm
Thursday: Greek Unity Race on the quad at 11am and ending with volleyball at 7pm.

Get out and support your fellow Greeks if you can! I know I’d definitely want to see how dodgeball plays out. Considering I’m not very sporty, it’s probably a good thing I’m not actually participating.

Laters,
Noelle
