Donation Drive

Hello Muskies. Moving day is slowly approaching and it has dawned on me that I may have packed a few unnecessary items that I have not used my whole year here. For example, paper plates. I have a huge stack of  unused paper plates that I haven’t even touched since I first moved in. So to condense the number of boxes that I will probably need when I do leave, I figure I should just get rid of this stuff that I’ve never had any use for. But why toss it when you can give it to someone who does need it?

On May 6th the Habitat For Humanity ReStore will be organizing a Donation Drive here at Muskingum. A collection station will be set up at the Stag/Ulster parking lot and the commuter parking lot on Comin Street, from 9am to 4pm. This is a great opportunity to not only get rid of the variety of things you don’t need nor want to have to pack, but also to pay it forward to someone who needs these things more than you do. Possible donations include “small appliances, rugs, lamps, radios/clocks, couches, cork boards/white boards, etc.” So as you are packing for the journey home, maybe pack a separate box for donations. It’s never a bad idea to do something beneficial for others and get yourself some good karma. Hope to see you there!
