Jobs on Campus!

Getting a job on campus at Muskingum is a great way to earn a little money while you are in college, whether you commute or live on campus. There are many opportunities as long as you are proactive and respond when you see a posting in the campus news emails that get sent out every afternoon. Aside from being a blogger for the Admissions Office, I am also a student worker in the Registrar’s Office scanning in files and documents and sending out transcripts. It’s a fun job and I love the other people I work with. The nice thing about having a job on campus is that your employers understand that your classes and grades are very important, and are willing to work around your class schedule in order to find times that will work for you. My advice would be to lay low your first semester if you can, just to give you time to get acclimated and figure out your own time management techniques. Once you’re settled, look for a job on campus! Whether you work in the mailroom, registrar’s office, admissions, as a tour guide, in the Winn Café, as a member of the Chess Center staff, or in another of the many positions open to student workers on campus, you’ll find a great atmosphere with bosses and coworkers who are flexible and truly want to see you succeed at college!
